Hey hey, I'm Javonne the Midwife!

I went into labor the night after I passed midwifery boards.

I was a mom and a midwife (officially) all within 24 hours.

It appeared to others that my Master's level education and years working as a labor and delivery nurse would have prepared me for my natural labor.

I was very well prepared ( I was in the hospital for hours and never even thought of an epidural), I had learned everything that I needed to do and be in order to have the birth that I wanted.

The kicker was that I had learned none of it in my training.

I learned the path from asking the right questions of others and preparing my mind for labor and birth. I asked the right questions and set healthy boundaries with my birth team.

I was able to master my mind and lead my birth team.

I have built my course to help empower other women to do the same.
